Jul 21, 2023NOLAKeys holds 'Stop the Violence' bike ride and school supply giveaway
NOLAKeys is holding its third annual “Stop the Violence” youth bike ride and school supply giveaway on Saturday (Aug. 5) at First Grace United Methodist Church.
NOLAKeys, a nonprofit that offers free musical instruments and music education to New Orleans youth, holds the event to support and empower the city’s young people and to promote peace among New Orleans residents.
The event includes free bike rental for kids ages 11 to 18, a school supply and backpack giveaway, complimentary food and drinks, and free entertainment.
Riders who are older than 19 are welcome but need to bring their own bikes. A party bus will be provided for kids who under 11, kids who don’t ride bikes and for parents.
There are a limited number of bike rentals. Participants are required to register at the NOLAKeys “Stop the Violence” EventBrite page. Registration is free.
The Ride for Peace and backpack giveaway will be held Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. at First Grace United Methodist Church, 3401 Canal St. For more information, to nolakeys.org. To register, to EventBrite.
